About Me
Personal: I’ve been a resident of Colorado for 43 years and married to my wife, Lisa, for 24 years. I have two daughters and two grandchildren, and have been a resident of Severance for more than 22 years. I’ve been self-employed since I was 22 years old and am the owner of Bruen Media Group – an advertising, marketing, and communications company. As a local business owner, I’m proud to be a member of the Severance Chamber of Commerce.
I’m a conservative and a patriot. I love this country and believe in our Constitution. One of my biggest hopes is that our younger generations realize, and are taught (at home and in our schools), how lucky they are to live in America.
Government Interests: My first involvement with anything government related was for the Town of Severance. They made the decision to change their Town Charter from a Statutory Charter to a Home Rule Charter – which would allow them to operate less under “state laws” and be able to govern themselves more independently – like having their own constitution. Needless to say, not being a fan of “big government,” this appealed to me. I volunteered, and was selected to be one of 12 other residents to be on the Home Rule Charter Commission and help write our own local “constitution.” After that, I decide I wanted to be more involved in the future of our community and have now been serving as a member of the Town Council since July of 2022.
“Community First – Always!”
This is not just a campaign slogan . . . I’m passionate about our town and excited to continue to help shape the look, the feel, and the personality of Severance – always keeping our agricultural roots, small-town charm, and community “wants and needs” a priority.

He has been a valuable asset to the town council and will fight for what is right. We are proud to endorse Dave for re-election for the Severance Town Council.
Voters of Severance:
I first met Dave in 2020 when we both served on the Home Rule Charter Commission. I knew right away that Dave really cared about Severance.
More recently, we have served together on the Town Council for 3 years.
Dave has common sense, strong principles and he shows up. As a small business owner for most of his adult life, Dave knows how to balance all sides of an issue, make an informed decision, and plunge forward to get the best results for all concerned.
Experience matters. 22 year resident. Helped write our towns “constitution”. 3 years on Council. Dave is the right choice to continue on The Severance Town Council!
Join me in Voting for Dave Bruen.
